Where
do the dresses come from?
All dresses are purchased
through Discount Bridal Service (DBS®).
You can order your dress with confidence and save
hundreds of dollars! We deal with the same bridal
manufacturers and resources as any other legitimate
bridal retailer. You will never see a worn sample or a
dress taken off the rack for our customers. We sell only
new, special ordered, first quality merchandise.
What
is DBS®?
Discount Bridal Service is the original and largest
"Personal Buying Service" for Brides. DBS
began in 1984 and was the company that initiated an
alternative way for brides to purchase their attire.

How
do you get the merchandise at such a low
price?
Bridal Fashion Mall carries no inventory of gowns, which
permits us to keep our costs down. Therefore, we are
able to pass those savings on to you and provide the
individual, personalized service that every bride
deserves.
Which
manufacturers and designers
are available?
Most nationally advertised gowns are available. We do
not represent manufacturers whose standards and
commitment to the consumer are questionable or have
proven to be unreliable.

How
do I pay for my gown?
All merchandise must be
paid in full at the time you place your order, as it
will be shipped directly to you by the United Parcel
Service. You may pay by check or credit card.
How
long does it take to get a
gown?
Delivery times vary by manufacturer and can range
anywhere from 6 to 30 weeks. However, we've done
weddings in much less time - so don't be
afraid to ask! We prefer to quote a conservative
delivery.
What
about alterations?
Alterations are almost
always necessary to get a properly fitted wedding
gown. You need to find a
competent and experienced bridal seamstresses in your
area to do your alterations.
Alteration charges
are always additional no matter where you buy your gown.
In fact, you will likely save more money when
dealing with a seamstress that is not affiliated with a
particular bridal shop.
How do I find a
seamstress?
The best way to find a
quality seamstress is through a referral (someone that
has used their services). Ask friends, co-workers,
family members, recent brides and even your wedding
vendors for a recommendation. If you have any
problems locating one, just let us know and we'll be
glad to help you.
What
happens if there
is a problem with the dress?
All merchandise is received at our Service Center for
inspection before we ship to you. Each and every garment
goes through a 25 Point Inspection Process. However,
should you discover a problem, simply contact us and the
necessary steps will be taken to make it right for
you. We believe that our customers deserve the
very best that the bridal market can provide.
What size dress do I
order?
You will need to
provide us with your measurements for bust, hip, waist
and height. You can be measured
by a bridal seamstress or follow these measuring
guidelines.
Each
designer uses a different size chart. When you're
ready to order, you need to take your current
measurements and the specific size chart to determine
your size. We'll be happy to assist you in
determining which size to order - but the final decision
is yours.
Are there any
additional charges?
Manufacturers charge extra for sizes 18, 20 and above, rush services, extra length, or special
cuts on gowns.
How much is shipping?
Shipping and handling is typically $10 - $35 per item,
depending on the gown type (bridal, bridesmaid, etc.)
and cost. We will confirm all shipping and handling
charges at the time of order. FYI - bridal shops
incur the same shipping costs to get the gowns into
their shop. This cost is paid separately by the
bride or typically added into the retail price of the
gown.
Do I pay sales tax?
No sales tax is charged unless the merchandise is
shipped to a Massachusetts address. If shipped to a
Massachusetts mailing address, we are required to charge
5.0%.
Can I return my gown
or cancel my order?
As with any bridal shop, your dress is custom made for
you and your order can not be canceled for any reason.
All sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Before signing your written order, it is very important
to make sure that all information (style number, color,
and size) are correct.
