but these are our top seven picks.
Q:
MY GOWN
IS IVORY – WHAT COLOR VEIL SHOULD I BUY?
A: This is a common question.
Every manufacturer is different when it comes to their
colors. I would try the diamond white first. Sometimes
it is hard to exactly match these ivory and off-white
colors. So, if there is any color variation between the
dress and your veil -- you always want the veil to be a
shade lighter (versus a shade darker) than your dress.
Our ivory veils are very light too --
because you want the veil to always be a lighter shade
of ivory than your dress. Ivory veils that are too dark
can look "dirty"... Sometimes I have trouble seeing that
a veil is ivory until I place it up against a white
veil. If you have purchased a veil from us and are
wondering if it is ivory or white – hold the veil up to
a piece of very white paper.
The other thing to keep in mind when
purchasing a veil is that we have a very easy (no
hassle) return policy. We just ask that you mail it
back to us within 10 days if you decide not to keep it.
Q:
MY DRESS
IS VERY PLAIN, WHAT STYLE TIARA DO YOU RECOMMEND?
A: With a plain-style dress -- you
have many options for headpieces. Typically, when there
is no floral pattern in the dress -- we suggest a
simple, geometric design in the headpiece...
You can choose something small... like a
headband style:

Something with all crystals:

Q:
DO YOU
SELL ANY BEADED SHIMMER VEILS?
A:
We
actually tried adding beading to the shimmer veil and we
felt that it did not look good – it was just “too
much”. My suggestion would be to try and decide which
you want more – the shimmer or the beading and go with
that.
We can
special order any veil to your specifications – however
it would be a final sale.
Q:
WHICH
VEIL LENGTH SHOULD I WEAR?
The
two most popular veil lengths are elbow 30" and
fingertip 36"
Here
are the things you need to consider for selecting veil
length:
1) Your
height… If you are under 5'4" you should go with an
elbow length veil (30” long). If you are over 5'7" you
should definitely go with a fingertip veil (36” long).
If you are in between those heights, then you can go
with either length -- it just depends on whether you
prefer a short length (elbow) or longer length
(fingertip).
2) Where on your head you are wearing
your veil. Obviously, if you are wearing it towards the
back of your head, the veil will be longer.
3) Detailing (on the back) and design of
your dress. Your veil length should be cut just above
or below any focal point on your dress. Don’t choose a
veil length that ends right where your bodice begins
because it cuts you in half visually (something just
above or just below). If you have a sharply defined
waistline, don't choose a veil that ends right at the
waistline – something slightly above or below it.
The best thing to do is to put on your
dress and get a tape measure and measure and see where
the different length veils will fall.
Q:
WHAT ARE
YOUR VEILS ATTACHED TO?
A:
These
veils are really gorgeous and they come on a comb. The
veil on a comb gives you lots of flexibility – you can
take it off during the reception if it gets in your way…
and it can be slipped easily (and securely) in your hair
right behind your tiara.
What I
suggest people do is take both the tiara and headpiece
and schedule a “trial run” with their hair stylist and
they can fit both on your head.
Q:
WHY
DON'T YOU CARRY MORE CATHEDRAL VEILS?
A:
I
always caution brides wearing a cathedral veil. It’s a
little harder to maneuver with the cathedral length
veil. You need to be careful that the veil does not
catch on anything along the way – you don’t want it to
pull on your hair style and mess up your hair or come
off your head. And, if you are moving around during the
ceremony (greeting the parents, lighting a unity candle,
etc) the veil can easily get twisted. On a day when
you will likely be “nervous” – it’s one more thing to
think or worry about.
Of
course, if you have your heart set on it – then do it!
They are beautiful…
Q: I
AM NOT SURE ABOUT PURCHASING WEDDING APPAREL ONLINE…IS
IT THE SAME STUFF THAT I SEE IN BRIDAL SHOPS?
A: Yes, in most cases the
merchandise you see in our online store is the same
merchandise that you are seeing in retail stores – one
difference – ours cost much, much less.
I understand that it is difficult to
match up your bridal accessories online. We offer easy
returns. If you are not happy with your purchase for
any reason – just mail it back within 10 days upon
receipt for a full product refund. And we charge no
restocking fee!
In addition -- we have a staff of
experienced bridal fashion experts ready to assist you
in choosing your accessories. Many brides email us a
picture (or send us a link to a mfg. web site) and we
offer suggestions for coordinating accessories and help
answer any questions you might have.
Q:
I NEED
HELP SELECTING A TIARA - WHERE DO I BEGIN?
A:
Here's the rule of thumb...
1) Select a wedding gown
2) Decide on a hairstyle
3) Choose the headpiece and veil
If you are unsure about how to wear your
hair -- I would make an appointment with your hair
stylist and try a couple different hair styles, up, down
and in-between. I would also bring along a camera to
snap a few shots so you can look at the styles later.
If there are a few headpieces and tiaras
that you like -- I would print out pictures of them and
take them with you for your appointment. Then, once you
have a better idea of how you are wearing your hair --
you can make a decision about the headpiece and veil.
Does that help? Many brides email us a
picture of their gown and then we offer suggestions to
match.
Q:
I NEED HELP FINDING A WEDDING GOWN, WHERE
DO I START?
A: There are hundreds of bridal
gown designers with so many styles to choose from. Many
have a semi-formal or less traditional styles – it just
takes some searching and seeing what you like.
Here is a link to some of the most
popular gown manufacturers:
http://www.usabride.com/fashion/bridalgownlinks.html
I would also suggest going to several
bridal shops and trying on many different gowns. Bridal
gowns fit so differently than regular street clothes --
that you really need to try on the dresses -- as many as
you can -- to see what styles you like and what best
compliments your figure.
Q:
DO YOU HAVE SAMPLES OF TULLE?
A: I'm sorry but we do not provide
samples of the tulle. The reason is because it is
impossible to see differences in color, quality, shimmer
and how the veil will fall with only a 2" swatch.
A couple things that may help...

Q:
HOW SHOULD I WEAR MY HAIR ON MY WEDDING DAY?
A:
My
recommendation is to take your tiara and headpiece and
make an appointment with a hairstylist -- one that
specializes in wedding up-dos. They can try different
looks and styles and then you can figure out which looks
best.
I would
also bring a camera and take a few shots of the
different styles -- it's nice to have the pictures later
to refer to.
Q:
CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANY HEADPIECES FOR SHORT HAIR?
A:
Most of the models showing off the
headpieces and veils have long hair -- and headpieces
look beautiful with short hair too.
You want to choose a petite tiara or
headband style. Here are some suggestions:

Q:
CAN YOU
RECOMMEND VEILS FOR SHORT HAIR?
A:
Your
veil style and length really depend more on the style of
gown you have versus the length of your hair.
Unfortunately, most of the models showing off the
headpieces and veils have long hair -- and veils look so
beautiful with short hair too.

brides have found it helpful.
